First light.
Then the sentence.

Decision solvency for the C-suite. New York.

Doctrine

Cognitive risk & decision solvency

When a chief executive faces analytical paralysis, market noise, or an unprecedented reputational crisis, catalog advisory fails. We enter at that point as an empirical filter: the C-suite isolated from internal pressure and from narratives that cannot survive a filing.

We audit hard numbers. We also audit the architecture of the decision itself. The mandate is to lift cognitive load, restore analytical clarity, and protect market capitalization from the error nobody inside the corporation would put on paper.

The names

Two surnames.
One method.

The firm is not a tribute. It is a filing. Hume taught the mind to distrust the story it tells itself under heat. Mill taught the principal that an organization can become a tyranny of its own majority. We took both drawers and put them on one desk.

Hume took the false cause off the table. Mill defended the lonely correct one.

HUME.1711 Drawer I · Edinburgh

David Hume

1711 — 1776

The Treatise fell dead-born from the press. He did not stop. He turned the same blade toward commerce, luxury, and the balance of trade — and left Adam Smith a room in which to write. Reason, he said, is the servant of the passions. A board that pretends otherwise is already insolvent.

File: impressions before ideas. Evidence before the narrative the house prefers.

MILL.1806 Drawer II · Westminster

John Stuart Mill

1806 — 1873

He was educated as an instrument and broke the instrument from inside. Logic first, then political economy, then On Liberty — the right of a mind to refuse the story a crowd calls consensus. A C-suite that cannot hear one dissenting filing has already priced the disaster.

File: method of difference. Isolate the cause. Do not decorate the conclusion.

Practice

Six pillars. One standard.

We do not publish a standard fee schedule. Each mandate is cut to the client’s exact requirement — legal, fiscal, analytical, narrative, or the decision itself.

  1. 01

    Advanced accounting & tax advisory

Strategic tax planning, comprehensive audits, and precise financial oversight designed to protect and optimize capital.

  2. 02

    Corporate law & structuring

Asset protection, legal architecture, and uncompromising corporate defense — built before the dispute, not after it.

  3. 03

    Markets & capital analysis

Rigorous study of global equity markets, risk assessment, and empirical market intelligence for principals who decide with evidence.

  4. 04

    Publishing & expert literature

Senior corporate reports, analytical essays, and specialized financial literature written to the standard of the boardroom, not the brochure.

  5. 05

    Corporate narrative & brand positioning

Management reports of record, elite marketing architecture, and an uncompromising corporate image on the United States market.

  6. 06

    Cognitive risk & decision solvency

A ruthless empirical filter for the C-suite: audit the decision architecture, strip false narrative, and stop a capitalization event before the market prices it.

Method

We do not sell hours.
We accept mandates.

  • Bespoke only. If the work can be bought from a catalog, it is not our work.
  • Evidence first. Positions are built from documents, filings, and market structure — not from slogans.
  • Decision solvency. We isolate the principal from internal noise and from the story the organization tells itself under stress.
  • Confidential by default. Engagements are private. We do not use client names as décor.
  • United States frame. Narrative, structure, and reporting are prepared for U.S. counterparties, boards, and capital.

Engagement

How a mandate begins

I

Brief

You state the objective, the constraint, and the horizon. We decide whether the file belongs with us.

II

Scope

A written scope. No open-ended retainers dressed as strategy. Work either has an edge, or it is declined.

III

Delivery

Reports, structures, narrative, and a decision audit — instruments for a principal, counsel, or the market.

The Desk

House essays.
Markets only.

Hume & Mill desk — U.S. economic outlook

The Desk

A board does not go bankrupt in the ledger first.

It goes bankrupt in the sentence nobody in the room will write. Decision solvency is the name we gave that sentence.

Hume & Mill

Markets

Noise is not information.

The tape after a print is a crowd. Isolate the cause before the crowd writes the minutes.

Doctrine

False cause off the table. Lonely correct one stays.

That is the filter sold to a listed house that has grown loud.
